Where is Pai, where is it located !? I only knew this strange name after being invited by a friend to Pai after my tired days in Chiang Mai. Unable to suppress our curiosity, we immediately booked a bus ticket to Pai the next day to see if there was anything cool that people loved, giving it the name "peaceful land". I will share again Pai travel experience for you.

1. The journey to Pai is full of difficulties

The bus left at 7 am and only 30 minutes later began climbing the first slope. A round turn, then two rounds, three rounds, those bends are located halfway up the mountain, painted with some bushes of kneeling that people really like, thinking that to a peaceful land, the road is also very peaceful. But no, the scary thing is that even the fourth and fifth turn afterward, until ... 67 more turns are terribly short and narrow. I wanted to shout out for the danger of it, the car almost did not run on a straight road but just kept turning circles continuously, every two seconds turn around, like torture. I was sure that every single number was because I could not sleep even if I lost sleep the previous night, my eyes were still closed, my eyes were full open, my hands were busy covering my mouth because I was afraid of "losing" my breakfast. even in the car, suffering.

2. First impression

The weather is a plus for Pai when the climate is cool all year round, is also mountainous terrain like that, but Dalat in Vietnam is somewhat colder on the end of the year like this. If you say the first impression, the small houses will be a highlight for this small town (Pai is really small). You can turn left, turn right, or even go straight three or four intersections and then turn around, you will not go far because their houses are only built that.

3. There is no shortage of great places to explore!

The modest area makes it a good place to rediscover outside the town. You will have to rent a motorbike to move because Pai is small, without the silhouette of a bus or a taxi. Our journey continued again in the middle of the afternoon, when the sun on the top of the head was supposed to be sultry, it should be hot but the weather was mild, clouding covered the sun made Pai even for a while. Every day is cool, forgetting all the definitions of time.

4. Pai Canyon

The first place is Pai Canyon Rock - a strange and familiar place for visitors from the first time to Pai. It is strange because the name sounds like a half Thai and half Western, unlike any other place, but it is familiar because this is the context in the movie "Pai in Love" that audiences loved in 2009.

 

I have to admit that the Thais know how to do tourism when turning the most tedious places into an ideal place to have fun. Pai Canyon is actually just limestone strips lying out of the cliff, the road is both narrow and steep, it is difficult to go, but the local investment, built a solid staircase, so visitors can peace of mind walking while admiring the scenery along the way. Especially here is no charge at all. They just built more shops so visitors can stop by.

After exhausting climbing, we went back to the center of town to find a place to rest. Unknowingly, the weather turned to heaven, and I immediately went to a shop selling mango desserts - the most favorite fruit in the world. Which is also very funny, in a secluded place like this, there are such unique shops, mango crepe, mango ice cream, mango milk tea, ... roll call without a dessert that is not made from mango both.

 

5. Where emotions gather after daily noise

"Living slowly" is probably the most accurate word to describe this town. There is no shortage of bustling pubs, heavy cocktails, the bustling street sounds ... But things like that, take place slowly and leisurely. Even the way visitors walk on the road, gliding over each other, all very leisurely. It is as if coming to Pai has to feel it with the flesh, not with the common sense. I felt cold at night, but after walking for a while, I suddenly forgot all because I was busy looking around carefully. I'm afraid I miss the dog on the side of the road, watching the shop owner or the colorful items that only Pai sells will bring unforgettable memories.

Say hello to Pai, greeting the cutest, most cute things. I will remember those moments when we went together on that cold night, told each other a lot of stories and all of them kept at Pai as the most unforgettable piece of memory.

 

What experience for you first time Pai

To go to Pai, you have to go to Chiang Mai first, then you can take a bus or buy a bus ticket to Pai, the price ranges from 150 Baht / person / way (~ 110,000 VND).

Hotels in Pai are quite few recommend that you should choose a place right in the center of town always so that you can stroll at the night market at night. Lilu Pai hotel is quite close to the center, you can refer to try.

Coming to Pai, you should spend more time in town, explore the nooks and crannies, it will be more fun than going to tourist destinations.
